In the New York hardcore punk scene, musicians embraced Krishna consciousness, with bands like Bad Brains and Cro-Mags exploring Krishna consciousness in their creative and personal lives. The Cro-Mags' debut album "The Age of Quarrel" draws from Hare Krishna philosophy, reflecting the convergence of punk rock and Hindu spirituality.


2. Influence on Hip-Hop and Comedy Music:

Rapper KRS-One was influenced by the Hare Krishna movement, and his name derives from "Krishna." Additionally, Australian musical comedians the Doug Anthony All Stars featured a track titled "Krishna" in their album "DAAS Icon," offering a comedic take on the Hare Krishnas.
